Categories of Alarm Systems
Category 1
– These are not recommended by us nor approved by home insurers. They can be easily tampered with and disabled by somebody with basic tools and their price reflects this. They cost little but offer little protection.
Category 3
– These are more suitable for businesses and large homes with multiple access points. These systems also have safety measures to ensure that tampering immediately causes an activation; this level of alarm is usually monitored.
Category 4
– These are most widely installed in large business premises, warehouses and banks.
